We\u2019re just not at the glitz and that \u2018wow\u2019 factor that $100 million gives you that Oklahoma City has,\u201d Mourning told KRQE News 13.<\/p>\n<p>Expo New Mexico\u2019s general manager says there have been plenty of updates at the nearly 60-year-old arena, but lights, fiber optics and a new air handling system aren\u2019t the sort of spending that gets noticed when shows first get booked.<\/p>\n<p>Mourning said he\u2019s already had calls from other equestrian groups who know the week in July used by the AHA will be available next year. He\u2019s optimistic Albuquerque can fill the hole in its schedule and maybe even win the Youth Nationals back when the bid becomes available in 2019.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s no reason in my mind why we can\u2019t do what Oklahoma City\u2019s done at state Fair Park,\u201d Mourning said. \u201cAlways a challenge, and like I said, we\u2019re sorry to lose a partner (who\u2019s been here) as long as we\u2019ve had them.
